TRAIN YOUR MUSCLES, NOT YOUR F**KING EGO

TRAIN YOUR MUSCLES, NOT YOUR F**KING EGO

I feel this is sort of self explanatory, but too often in every gym I've ever stepped foot in, there are many people lifting with far too much momentum. By training this way, not only are you short changing your results by taking the focus off the intended muscle, but you are setting yourself up for injury.

I also see all over social media people who are lifting with the intent to build muscle but are using far too much load for the specific movement they are attempting to perform. If you can't move that weight without utilizing other parts of your body or having a training partner help you on more than one rep, should be towards the end of your set, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but its too heavy.

Something that I tell people is to slow the exercise down. Use a 4 second negative, and that generally ensures that you are not using momentum to put the load through the positive portion of the rep.

Focus on execution of the movement.

I say execution because form is relative to your body.

Don't be a dingus. Train your muscles, not your ego.
